Izmir University of Economics, European Union Research and Implementation Centre (EKOAB) held its first occasion of 2011-2012 academic year with participation of Sabancı University faculty member and Jean Monnet Chairman, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Evin. Prof. Dr. Evin has stated that the economic crisis in Europe has ceased expanding for a short term, and questions marks rose over regarding Turkey’s candidacy in EU.

Prof. Dr. Osman Demirbaş, Izmir University of Economics-Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Faculty Member, has attended International Design Alliance (IDA) 2011 Taipei Congress, which is considered the world’s biggest design congress, as a speaker.
