The success of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) stood out in the ‘2024 University Impact Rankings’ announced by the UK-based evaluation organization Times Higher Education (THE). 

1 thousand 500 students, who successfully completed their studies at Izmir University of Economics (IUE) and earned their diplomas, were sent off to their new lives at the end of the five-day graduation ceremonies. 

National swimmer and world record holder Hüseyin Emre Sakcı, a student at Izmir University of Economics (IUE), achieved another historic success by becoming the European champion in the 50-meter breaststroke. 

The countdown has begun for the new campus that Izmir University of Economics (IUE) will build in Güzelbahçe, with the aim of bringing Izmir a world-class, environmentally friendly, and state-of-the-art education hub.

Irmak Koluman, a student from Department of Industrial Design, Izmir University of Economics (IUE), has been awarded at the international design competition C-IDEA Design Award with her espresso machine named ‘Octopresso’, designed for coffee enthusiasts.

Students from the Department of Civil Engineering and Department of Architecture at Izmir University of Economics (IUE) conducted earthquake simulations by examining 45 historic buildings in the city using scale models. 

Buse Ünal, a student in the Department Textile and Fashion Design, Izmir University of Economics (IUE), placed second in the 18^th Aegean Exporters' Associations (EIB) Fashion Design Competition held this year. 

Asst. Prof. Dr. Ebru Sayılgan, Lecturer at Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Department of Mechatronics Engineering, developed a ‘wrist rehabilitation device’ for paralyzed patients that can be controlled by signals received from the brain.

The creative spirit of Izmir came to life once again with the 5^th GençYaratıcı (YoungCreative) Festival held at the Historical Coal Gas Factory. The festival, which was held on May 21-22 with the partnership of GençYaratıcı Agency, which continues its activities within Izmir University of Economics (IUE), and Create in Izmir project, turned into a storm of inspiration with the energy of more than 300 participants and more than 20 distinguished guests.

There was graduation excitement at Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Beyaz Köşk Kindergarten, the only kindergarten belonging to a foundation university in Izmir.
