Students of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) took action in response to the increase in natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods and fires in our country and developed two projects that will contribute greatly to search and rescue operations.

Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Women's Volleyball Team completed the Izmir Regional Competitions, in which 8 universities participated this year, as the undefeated champion.

Izmir University of Economics (IUE) organized a symposium titled ‘Kahramanmaraş Earthquake Commemoration and Disaster Awareness’ on the first anniversary of the February 6^th earthquake disaster. 

Izmir University of Economics (IUE) students made it to the finals of the ‘Research Challenge’ organized by the CFA Institute, one of the most respected organizations in the field of finance worldwide. 

Izmir University of Economics (IUE), who has signed international agreements with 203 universities with the aim of enhancing the educational opportunities offered to its students,  created career opportunities for them in the Far East. 

Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Faculty of Medicine, which brings qualified young physicians to our country with its innovative, student-centered and technology-based education program, has proven its success internationally. 

The ‘street waste pickers’, who contribute to the recycling of materials such as paper, glass, and metal for the benefit of the environment and the economy, has become the subject of scientific research in Izmir. 

Asst. Prof. Dr. İpek Kaştaş Uzun, faculty member of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, was awarded the Scientist of the Year Award in the field of landscape architecture by the Nobel Science and Research Center Association. 

Prof. Dr. İbrahim Akel, the beloved figure of the medical world, who lost his life due to cancer at the age of 43 approximately a year ago, has not been forgotten by his colleagues. 

There has been a change in the leadership of the Turkey branch of the Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) association, which works internationally to improve the quality of English education and contribute to the professional development of teachers.
