Izmir University of Economics (IUE), which aims to provide the best career opportunities to its students by providing them with the skills sought by the business world, received a grant of 22 thousand pounds from the British Council, a UK-based international arts, culture and education organization. IUE became one of the 3 universities in Turkey that qualified to receive a grant this year within the scope of the ‘Connect4Innovation’ project.

Invited by Shizuoka University of Art and Culture in Japan, 8 students from the Department of Industrial Design of Izmir University of Economics (IEU) traveled to Japan to develop business models with the aim of making the Izu Peninsula a ‘gastronomic center’. 

The ‘Three Generations Master-Apprentice’ project, initiated by Izmir University of Economics (IUE) to bring its students together with business people and experts in the industry before they graduate, continues successfully in its third year. 

The first prize went to Izmir University of Economics (IEU) once again at the 14^th Wedding Dress Design Contest held this year within the scope of IF Wedding Fashion Izmir, one of Europe's largest bridal fashion fairs.

Selvinaz Cura, a student at Izmir University of Economics (IEU), began her kickboxing journey three years ago, dominating the ring and winning 5 gold medals in national and international competitions, achieving her dream of donning the national jersey.

Artist Pınar Ayhan was the guest of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) for two days with her musical documentary ‘Orada Duruverseydi Zaman’ (If Time Stopped There). 

Comprehensive work carried out over the past year as part of the ‘Create in Izmir’ project, initiated by Izmir University of Economics (IEU) to support creative industries and entrepreneurship in the Aegean Region, has yielded results.

Izmir University of Economics (IUE) started the Republic enthusiasm with a parade on the campus. Accompanied by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Band, the parade, which was attended by students and faculty members as well as kindergarten children, was full of colorful scenes.
