Izmir University of Economics (IUE) students, who managed to receive awards at TEKNOFEST two years in a row with the cargo transport and attack helicopters they developed, attended the International Astronautical Congress held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, as guests.

Jairo David Estrada Barrios, the Ambassador of Guatemala, one of the Central American countries, in Republic of Turkey, and Stephanie Garcia H. de Elbay, the Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy of Guatemala visited Izmir University of Economics (IUE).

The ‘Mentorship Project’ (Peer Mentor) of Izmir University of Economics, which has been ongoing for 8 years to accelerate the adaptation process of young students who are new to the campus, was successfully implemented this year as well. 

Izmir University of Economics (IEU) welcomed the 2023-2024 Academic Year with enthusiasm and excitement, with its 10,700 students. 

Izmir University of Economics (IUE) has been listed among the ‘best universities’ in the rankings prepared by Times Higher Education (THE) and Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), two of the most respected international ranking organizations. 

GURMEFEST, one of the biggest food, drink and entertainment festivals of Izmir, was ‘flavored’ with the dishes prepared and presented by the students of Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Izmir University of Economics (IUE). 

The electric car developed by Izmir University of Economics (IUE) students to be exhibited at TEKNOFEST, Turkey's first and only aerospace and technology festival, was highly admired. 

The ‘Congress of the Turkish Society of Surgical and Operating Room Nurses’, which will be organized internationally this year with the cooperation of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing and Turkish Surgical and Operating Room Nurses Association, will bring together more than 500 healthcare professionals. 

Dilge Kocabaş, a Faculty of Medicine student at Izmir University of Economics (IUE), was elected as the president of the European Medical Students’ Association (EMSA), headquartered in Belgium, with approximately 50 thousand student members from 130 universities. 

Forty-eight students, who started their education at Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Faculty of Medicine this year, took the first step towards becoming a physician by putting on their white coats and taking the ‘Medical Student Oath’.
