İbrahim Burak Ünal, a student in the Department of Industrial Design, Izmir University of Economics (IUE) won second place with his earring design named ‘Varoluşun Şifresi’ (Code of Existence),using gold and sapphire, in the International Jewelry Design Competition. 

The book ‘Ege Otları (Aegean Herbs)’ authored by Asst. Prof. Dr. Betül Öztürk from Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Izmir University of Economics (IUE) and Author Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Uhri has garnered significant attention from readers. 

A special ceremony was held at Izmir University of Economics (IUE) for the 104 academics appointed to professorship, associate professorship, and assistant professorship positions between the years of 2022 and 2024. 

Students of Beyaz Köşk Kindergarten and guest children sang songs, had fun on the playgrounds, painted, and exhibited their talents in art and environment themed workshops, experiencing the joy of the holiday together.

Students of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Department of Textile and Fashion Design prepared stylish and eco-friendly designs by reusing waste denim pieces. 

Spain-based ranking organization Scimago Institutions Ranking ranked IUE Department of Mathematics as 261^st in the world and second in our country, as a result of detailed examinations on many criteria such as the international studies of faculty members, the number of publications and the educational content of the department.

Fourth-year interior architecture students recently participated in a Seminar Week organized by Asst. Prof. Markus WILSING, Assoc. Prof. Emre ERGÜL, Lect. Asst. Prof. Ayçe DÖŞEMECİLER, Assoc. Prof. Didem KAN KILIÇ, Asst. Prof. Meltem ERANIL, Asst. Prof. Selin GÜLDEN, and Res. Asst. Yasemin ALBAYRAK KUTLAY as part of their IA 498 course. Held from March 12th to March 15th, 2024, the event featured a lineup of industry experts providing insightful sessions.

Prof. Dr. Tomas Zima, Head of the Institute of Medical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine and Former Rector of Charles University in Prague, one of the best higher education institutions in Europe, visited Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Faculty of Medicine. 

Izmir University of Economics (IUE) has added another agreement to its international partnerships by collaborating with KEDGE Business School, which is among the top business education institutions in Europe, based in France. Graduates of IUE's undergraduate programs will have the opportunity to pursue their master's degrees in France with a special discount through this agreement.
