Izmir University of Economics (IUE) hosted the Global Game Jam (GGJ) event that took place concurrently in 118 countries in order to contribute to the development of game sector

A team of 5 students from Izmir University of Economics (IUE) made it to the finals at the 12th CFA Institute Research Challenge organized by the CFA Institute (The Chartered Financial Analyst), one of the most prestigious finance institutions worldwide.

Students of Architectural Restoration Program of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) re-designed the historical building, which accommodates Karşıyaka Teacher’s Clubhouse, as a culture and art center.

Fashion designers from Izmir University of Economics crown their success by awards. Arzu Birdal, graduate of Department of Fashion and Textile Design, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Izmir University of Economics (IUE), came in second place, and fourth year student Nurdan Ahsen Fıçıcı came in third place at the “8^th Deri’n Fikirler” Leather Design and Production Contest held by the Aegean Leather and Leather Products Exporters Association.

Colombia's most outstanding photographer Hernán Díaz’s exhibition, which includes a select group of 25 black and white photographs, taken between 1959 and 1990, met with art enthusiasts at Izmir University of Economics (IUE).

The project of Prof. Mehmet Efe Biresselioğlu, Lecturer at Izmir University of Economics (IUE), which he co-developed with academics from 5 countries to encourage use of renewable resources and “low carbon” technology in energy production, received support from the European Union (EU).
