Graduates of IUE Faculty of Business will talk about their professions. Graduates of Departments of Economics, Business Administration, Logistics Management, Political Science and International Relations, International Finance and Trade, who are employed in different sectors currently, will talk to prospective students and give information to them about their professional experiences until July 14.
 

The youth will have fun with "Crab", a vehicle designed by İsmail Güneş Ötken, senior at IUE Department of Industrial Design. Crab, suited for a single person that is made out of polycarbonate body, can revolve around a fixed point and go sideways like a crab. 
 

Students used their creativity in “Sağlık Olsun (Health)” themed story, photography, and short film contest organized by Izmir University of Economics, Faculty of Health Sciences in order to create awareness among students. The winners received phones, tablets, and cameras as rewards.
 

It has been reported that 500 people on an average drowned in Turkey, and due to increased interest in seas and pools, people who received lifeguard training should be assigned in such places. 
 

Students of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) successfully represent Turkey worldwide with scholarships they receive. İlayda Gökdoğan and Gizem Şentürk, both students of Department of International Trade and Finance who take Chinese as a second foreign language, were invited by Confucius Institute to attend the summer camp at Shanghai University, China. And Kardelen Köse and Gamze Sayat, both students of Foreign Trade and Logistics Program at IUE Vocational School, qualified to receive Fulbright Commission Vocational Education Training Scholarship. Köse will receive education for 1 year at California Santa Rosa Junior International Business and perform internship, while Sayat will attend Northern Virginia Alexandria Logistics program.
 

Izmir University of Economics (IUE) brought together all graduate and doctorate programs in business administration and finance within the newly established IUE Graduate School of Business. The school offers MBA, Master of Finance, Executive MBA (English/Turkish), e-MBA, Masters of Management and Managerial Development, and Business Ph.D. and Finance Ph.D.  
 

As the students are occupied with possible career choices with Undergraduate Placement Exam (LYS) being over, the experts state that choosing the right career is one of the most significant decisions in a person’s life. Clinical Psychologist Merve Yavuz, IUE Psychological Development and Counseling Centre Coordinator, who pointed out that career choice was a major determinant in life style, stated that students needed to be informed about occupations and identify their skills realistically.
 

Dads will be able to take out their babies for a comfortable and easier stroller ride in city life with the design of Aysu Çelebi, student at IUE Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Industrial Design. Çelebi, with her design called, “The Stroller Inizio”, allows dads to adjust the appropriate position and height to their liking.  
 

The experts state that effects of sunlight increase during summer days, and when choosing sunglasses, people should get an expert opinion and opt for a quality one. They also emphasize the importance of staying out of sun between the hours of 11.00 – 16.00, and said that sunglass was the most frequently used helpful tool.    
 

Ekrem Demirtaş, Chairman of the Executive Board of Izmir Chamber of Commerce and President of IUE Board of Trustees, stated that he was deeply saddened by the death of Süleyman Demirel, the 9^th President of Republic of Turkey. Demirtaş said, “Süleyman Demirel, who dedicated his life to the Republic and truly loved Turkey, was an esteemed statesman and a one of a kind world leader. He has provided services in every inch of Anatolia and these services will never be forgotten.”
