Izmir Sciencepark, a science and technology park dedicated to become the center for designing high added value product development in Izmir, ranked second in Early Stage Technology Development Zones (TDZ) Performance Index, performed by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology.

Graduating class of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design with its five departments proudly present, their graduation projects in the 2018 Graduation Exhibition. The students from the departments of Fashion and Textile Design, Industrial Design, Visual Communication Design, Architecture, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design will showcase their work in the Exhibition. Following the Exhibition Opening, the Fashion Design students will present their work in the Fashion Show, with more than 80 pieces.

The First Workshop of “University and Sector Cooperation in the Training of Health Technicians" was hosted by Vocational School of Health Services, Izmir University of Economics (IUE) at IUE Conference Hall.

Izmir University of Economics Men’s Basketball Team has completed Turkish Universities Sports Federation Sports League Category B Competitions. IUE Men’s Basketball Team came in second.

Students of Department of Software Engineering, Izmir University of Economics (IUE) developed a mobile application called, “Stucial”, where they aim to make their lives more entertaining, get more social, and help and support each other with education.

Kindergarteners enter the enchanted world of theater with “The Little Black Fish”, a children’s musical where the students of Child Development Program, Vocational School of Health Services, Izmir University of Economics (IUE), feature in. The musical, prepared as part of the IUE Children and Music course, aims to reach to almost one thousand kindergarteners in Izmir.

Phil Cleaver, the guest professor of the Department of Visual Communication Design at İzmir University of Economics last week, is a world-renowned graphic designer who has designed the VISA logo that almost everyone carries in their pockets. Cleaver began his career as a graphic designer with Alan Fletcher and Anthony Froshaug. He worked in Pentagram in New York, TD in Holland and Wolff Olins in London for many years and established Et Al Design consulting firm in London in 1992. Phil Cleaver, who is also a member of the Monotype Museum and the Royal Art Society, also teaches art and design at Middlesex University. The work of the designer who has worked with many famous brands and designed many books is also included in the permanent collection of Victoria & Albert Museum.

Yiğit Özgür, Cihan Ceylan, Fırat Budacı, cartoonists of the famous humor magazine, Uykusuz, met with students as part of the Spring Events of Izmir University of Economics (IUE). “IUE Best of Year '18 Uykusuz’ Humor Magazine” titled event took place at the Conference Hall. The cartoonists, who chatted with the students, stated that humor magazines were experiencing economic hardship; however, they would continue to publish their magazine.   

Izmir University of Economics, Vocational School of Health Services, Medical Laboratory Techniques Program, who educates medical lab technicians, the secret heroes of laboratories that play an important role in diagnosis of diseases, celebrated Medical Laboratory Professionals Day.

Economist, Journalist, TEDx Speaker Emin Çapa has been a guest speaker at a series of conferences titled, “The Campus of Finance and Development”, an event organized by Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Vocational School. In his “As You Build Your Future” titled speech, Çapa reminded that the world was in a continuous transformation, and it was important to be aware of this rapid transformation.
