The future engineers competed with their robot designs at the “Recycled or Nature Inspired Pack of Robots” competition held by Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Faculty of Engineering. Students were inspired by natural creatures, and designed their four, six, or eight-legged robots with paper, metal, plastics.  

While the seaside towns are fully packed with the beginning of the Ramadan Holiday and hot temperatures peaking, the experts warn citizens against the danger of drowning.

The “8^th Young Minds, New Ideas Project Market and Graduation Projects” has been held at Izmir University of Economics with the participation of 271 projects from 14 departments of 11 universities and a large crowd of sectorial representatives. Izmir University of Economics (IUE) has been crowned with complete success with its future entrepreneurial engineers, and collected 5 out of 7 awards in different categories at the contest.

Interior architecture students of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) are showered with prizes for their concept store designs. IUE young interior architects received first prize, second prize, honorary mention, and exhibition prize at the interior design competition co-organized by Belenco Quartz Surfaces and TMMOB Chamber of Interior Architects of Izmir.

The study areas and areas for socialization needed by high school students come to life with the “Development Workshop” project of Izmir University of Economics Vocational School. Students of Karabağlar Atatürk Vocational and Technical Anadolu High School will get bookcases, reading zones, wall games and board games as part of the Development Workshop Project.

Seniors of Department of Fashion and Textile Design, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Izmir University of Economics (IUE) will complete their education journey with a graduation fashion show, which will take place on 31 May at 21.00 at IUE Ceremony Field. Students will display their collections of ready-to-wear clothing that are inspired by the German Bauhaus School to celebrate the school’s 100^th anniversary.

Izmir University of Economics ECOGENESIS Club held the “2^nd IUE Biology Summit”. The biotechnology methods, market share of this area, and its status in Turkey and worldwide were addressed at the ‘Future of Biotechnology’ themed event intended for university and high school students.

Paper planes filled the skies of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) in memory of Vecihi Hürkuş and his first students. The Flying Colors Challenge, a paper plane contest co-organized by Izmir University of Economics Vocational School Civil Aviation Cabin Services, and Civil Aviation Transportation Management Programs, allowed students to design, build, and fly their model paper planes. Students strived to make their paper planes fly the farthest.

Those, who want to self-improve in business world, will be able to receive training from the international experts at Izmir University of Economics (IUE). A certificate program is now available with the collaboration of Izmir University of Economics Continuous Education Center (CEC) and Pearson Professional.

Izmir University of Economics’ future engineers came in first place at the Automotive Component Design Contest held by Uludag Automotive Industry Exporters' Association (OIB) with their charging energy, sharing network and transfer equipment developed for electric and autonomous cars, which are the future of automotive industry.
