The well-known economists, representatives of Heterodox approach, who foresaw the global crisis that has been ruling over the world for the past 5-6 years, and tried steering economy, met at Izmir University of Economics and talked about their predictions on where the world is headed to.

Başak Yavuz and Okan Dikiş, brilliant students of Izmir University of Economics, will benefit from the experiences of Hüseyin Ozer, an executive Chef who started from zero in Turkey and spread throughout business world successfully.

Graduation projects of Izmir University of Economics seniors’ that were co-developed by representatives of various leading companies were deemed worthy of awards. “Price Optimization Project”, co-developed by THY Cargo, came in first place where 9 independent jury members evaluated the projects.

The soon to be graduates of Izmir University of Economics, Department of Fashion Design, reflected the rebirth of Ottoman Culture in their creative designs, and mesmerized the audience once again. The designers put the placards together that read “Ataturk we follow your footsteps” at the end of the night. IUE Amphitheatre witnessed a night to remember as the audience sang the 10^th Year March together.

The youth is pushing the limits of their creativity as they are killing two birds with one stone. Izmir University of Economics Human Resources Club and Industrial Engineering Club joined hands. An interactive event was organized where students had a chance to present their projects and resumes to human resources staff, and entered job interviews of companies at Izmir and surroundings.

Feyzi Aras, sophomore student at Izmir University of Economics, Department of Industrial Design, came in first place at Automotive Design Contest organized by Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association by designing a hidden car seat for babies.

Izmir University of Economics, which ranked in 5th place in terms of innovation and entrepreneurship culture according to the list announced by Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, achieves more success every day.

Students of IUE Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, Department of Industrial Engineering;  Efecan ÇINARLI, Yağmur Simge GÖK, Gizem KANDEMİR, Umut KOMBAKÇI and Eylül Deniz MENTEŞE have been awarded “TÜBİTAK 2241/A  Industry Oriented Senior Project Supporting Programme” for their senior project “Performance Improvement Studies in Health Sector” under supervision of Lecturer Cemalettin ÖZTÜRK.
