The “Promotion Days” organized by Izmir University of Economics provides answers for university candidates. Students point out that they are making conscious decisions with the help of the experts at 12 different guidance and briefing posts located at IUE Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, D Block.

It was pointed out that professional help was the first step to a successful business life for university candidates while they were choosing the departments that would shape their future. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Çetinkaya, IUE Head of Department of Psychology, who said that students, who got over a tough Undergraduate Placement Exam, should pay no attention to unfounded information while making their choices, stated that the candidates needed to be decisive about “what they wanted”.

Psychology students all across Turkey discussed the theme of “control” at Izmir University of Economics (IUE). IUE Department of Psychology and Psychology Club co-hosted the 18th National Psychology Students Congress at IUE Conference Hall with the participation of students and academicians.

The students created environment friendly EXPO area they envisioned. Izmir University of Economics (IUE), Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design hosted a seminar titled, “IP EWUQ/PORT Cities Project” which was organized by Gazi University, Department of Architecture. The students designed an environment friendly Inciraltı – EXPO Area.

Students of Izmir University of Economics reveal their creativity with their senior projects. Ceren Cengiz, who came up with a practical solution for mulled wine lovers, is making a breakthrough in wine industry with a kit called Phyre. 

Izmir University of Economics, Graduate School of Applied and Natural Sciences, Applied Mathematics and Statistics Doctorate Program had its first Ph.D. graduates. Dr. Gülder Kemalbay and Dr. Göknur Giner, both educated by Prof. Dr. İsmihan Bayramoğlu, Dean of IUE Faculty of Arts and Science and Head of Department of Mathematics, will continue their academic journey at distinguished higher education institutes.

New graduates of Izmir University of Economics start their career journey. 914 students, who successfully completed their education in 2012 – 2013 Academic Year, received their diplomas at the ceremony that took place at IUE Amphitheatre. At the end of the ceremony, the proud graduates sang the 10^th Year March and threw their graduation caps in the air.

Izmir University of Economics Department of Business Administration organized a doctoral seminar titled, “Contemporary Topics in Consumer Research”, where it was pointed out that the virtual life became an alternative to real life.

Izmir University of Economics hosted “English Language Teacher Education Research in Turkey (ELTER)” workshop which was organized for the first time.
